The Final Chapters

The Journal of Children’s Literature Studies ceased publication unexpectedly with five issues still unpublished. This volume collects the material from those issues.
The material includes a special issue on the work of Philip Pullman, and a range of essays on subjects as diverse as L.M. Montgomery’s Emily books, imperialism in Lewis Carroll’s Alice books, comics for girls and Maori influences on children’s books in New Zealand. Each issue also contains a reviews section looking at other works on the subject of children’s literature.
