November 2012 Bestsellers
As we head into the last month of
our existence the year, it’s clear that the year-end bestseller chart has been completely upended by the unofficial Clarkesworld subscription drive. Clarkesworld continues to add new subscribers every day: welcome to Weightless! Hope you enjoy the site and stick around for more.
So Clarkesworld dominated last month’s bestseller charts, although for individual magazine issues, John Joseph Adams’s Nightmare Magazine took the top two spots. It will be interesting to see what happens when we get the back issue bundles of Clarkesworld up.
In books, Karin Tidbeck’s debut collection Jagganath took the crown—and a dollar from every sale there went to Clarkesworld, too, so more awesomeness all round. Perennial bestseller Ginn Hale is still going strong, too. Overall I’m very happy to see how many short story collections are finding readers.
Just outside the charts were Elizabeth Bear’s Shoggoths in Bloom and Innsmouth Magazine, showing that within the set of short story readers, there are a great many Cthulhu fans out there!
