Weightless Books

Wow we are getting busy around here! We have new presses coming at us left right and center. We’re still doing stuff by hand that probably machines could do better for us, but Michael is making great strides on that. Me, I just run a dustcloth over things, give it a bit of polish. Michael does all the real work. Michael will be with me at the Brooklyn Book Festival on Sunday, Sept. 12th (selling Small Beer Press print books!—maybe we will burn things to CD for people, who knows?). Come on by and say hi! Karen Lord (Redemption in Indigo) will be over from Barbados to read there and at McNally Jackson and Greenlight Books.

Our August bestseller list is not surprisingly topped by our latest Ginn Hale title, Feral Machines, is followed by her perennial bestseller, Wicked Gentlemen. Three books tied for 4th place and, hello, here’s a title that didn’t come from Blind Eye Books again sneaking onto the list in 5th place: Featherproof Books first bestseller appearance: Brian Costello’s The Enchanters vs. Sprawlburg Springs.
