Vintage Sea Doorways

Sea, Swallow Me and Other StoriesWe just added a YA novel (Vintage by Steve Berman), a collection (Sea, Swallow Me by Craig Gidney), and a great looking anthology (Alleys & Doorways: Stories of Queer Urban Fantasy edited by Meredith Schwartz) from our friends at Lethe Press. All priced to go. Ebook prices are falling as sales rise: nice, eh?

What a lovely week it’s been since Publishers Weekly ran a piece about the site. We are busier than ever talking to publishers. We’re still moving slower than perhaps we should because we don’t want to make any mistakes. (Still do, anyway. Sorry about that.) Along those lines, we updated our FAQ and For Publisher pages with more information about subscriptions and so on.

So if all goes as it should we will be adding some fantastic new publishers, big and small. This whole new center of gravity for indie publishing is working out. Yay! And after the big AWP Conference in DC next week (so sorry I can’t go this year—we could talk to so many presses and journals!) there will be more more more. Although we can’t make it to AWP, Boskone is here in Boston so fingers crossed that Michael and I will be there as panelists and selling Small Beer Press print(!) books and zines. Michael is doing things with those QR codes so we will have some kind of downloadable freebie (LCRW? something anyway!) for those who stop by and say hi.

And what’s next? It’s a big week no matter what else we add because first up is Part 2 of Ginn Hale’s bestselling Lord of the White Hell and then there’s the February issue of Lightspeed. Subscribe to Lightspeed now and get it delivered automatically to you reading device of choice!

And in a month or two it will be our one-year anniversary. Suggestions welcome on how we should celebrate!
