July 2013 Bestsellers


There were some new appearances on the list in July. First I wanted to note Beneath Ceaseless Skies Magazine‘s jump from 5th place last month to #2 this month—and almost catching #1 ClarkesworldMaybe this month?

Livia Day’s A Trifle Dead did very well and it is nice to see a couple of other new titles on the list this month as well.Interesting to see a couple of Wildside Press’s Megapacks. They are quite popular and at only 99c are a bargain. I suspect that for a lot of readers they’re bought in a just in case they’re stuck somewhere and finish whatever they were reading on their phone.

These are the dog days of summer here in the northern hemisphere—although you wouldn’t know there’s been any slowdown in the world of publishing what with Am*zon, sorry, J. Bezos, esq., buying the Washington Post (which at $250 million is estimated to have only cost him 1% of his net worth). The consolidation continues! Feh. Who cares? Check out all these individual voices instead of the one gargantuan one:
