Chocolatiers of the High Winds

Chocolatiers of the High WindsThat’s probably the title of the week right there. I have no idea what it’s about, but I want to know! (Ok, so it’s a “gay steampunk romance follows the globe-trotting adventures of young Mayport Titus, the sole scion of the Titus Chocolate fortune.”) Sounds good to me. That + 30 more titles from Circlet Press were added today. All those readers who are coming from After Ellen: here is your next book.

The Moment of Changeedited by Rose Lemberg, is one of the buzzier poetry anthologies around at the moment. Probably because it comes from Aqueduct Press and was launched at Wiscon.

It’s been a while since we had new titles from Twelfth Planet Press so it’s refreshing to be able to point these three new books: Showtime by Narrelle M Harris and Bad Power by Deborah Biancotti. Short story fans rejoice!

Random link: this site (A Mighty Girl) looks like a good site for kids (and their parents!). Their tagline is “The world’s largest collection of books and movies for smart, confident, and courageous girls.” Can’t remember who on Twitter forwarded it, sorry! (This is Michael and this is me.)

Hey, Michael added a poll—with prizes!

We’re on holiday tomorrow (well, unless there’s some kind of problem, you know how it is) for the 4th of July and hope that if you are in the USA you 1) you are on holiday, too, and 2) it’s fun and you get to read a good book. Yes, we love Independence Day because it reminds everyone that independence is worth fighting for. Massive corporations who want to control every aspect of our lives? Get ye back to ye dystopias and leave us to have fun!

If you are outside the USA reading this: Hello! How lovely to see you! Buenos dias! Kumusta! Guten tag! Genki desuka?
